Samsung might be busy in dealing with Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge but that doesn’t mean that Korean giant is not working on bringing Android 5.0 Lollipop to their mid-end devices like Galaxy Grand Prime, Galaxy Core Prime, Galaxy Mega 2, Galaxy S5 Mini & Mini Duos.
So here’s good news for all those Galaxy Grand Prime users who have been keeping their fingers crossed to hear few words regarding Lollipop update for their beloved smartphone from Samsung. Samsung has just announced that they are already working on Android 5.0 update for their mid-end devices and the Company plans to bring Android 5.0 Lollipop update to these devices very soon.
Packed with 1.2 GHZ Quad-core processor, 1GB of RAM, 8MP of primary camera/5MP front camera and 5.0 inches of display with 540 x 960 pixels resolution, the device was launched in October, 2014. Marketed well by Samsung as smartphone with wide angle front facing camera for taking great selfies (or grandfies), Galaxy Grand Prime became very popular among middle class folks in countries like India, Pakistan and Bangladesh.
Over the last few weeks, Samsung has rolled out Lollipop updates for most of its ex-flagships and high end devices and it looks like the Company has finally got some time to work bringing Lollipop for mid-range devices. So far we have no information regarding the exact date of this release but we hope that to happen very soon in near future.
