Having problem with Google Now on your recently bought Galaxy S6 or S6 Edge? Has OK Google disappeared from your Galaxy S6 or Edge home screen? Don’t worry, we will fix these issues in this guide.
Google Now is one of the hundreds of new features Google introduced in Android Jelly Bean as an answer to Apple’s Siri. At first, Google Now was way behind its competitor but with passage of time it has improved a lot and now it is much better than Siri. On compatible devices, users just have to say “OK Google” to launch the Google Now on their devices to search for their problem solution.
Steps to Fix OK Google Not Working or Disappeared on Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge
Fix # 1: The first fix is to change the language of your smartphone to English (US) as it is only language supported by Google Now at the moment. Most of the time this problem is because users select English (UK) on their smartphones which isn’t compatible with Google Now at the moment.
Fix # 2: If your language is already English (US) or changing it to English (US) doesn’t fix your problem, then try this second method. Go to Settings –> Language and input –> Voice search –> “OK Google” Detection and make sure it is set to “Always On” option. Hopefully this will fix your problem.
Fix # 3: If your Google Now problem stills persists, then there is problem with an app that you have recently installed. Try uninstalling the app that you have recently installed on your Galaxy S6 and check if the problem is fixed. If the problem still persists, then you are left with only one option i.e. to factory reset your Galaxy S6 or S6 Edge.
Hopefully these methods will help you fix the Google now problem on your Galaxy S6 or other smartphones running on Android 5.x Lollipop. If you know any other method to fix this annoying problem, please share with us so we can update this guide.
