With some tweaks and apps, you can transform your Galaxy Core or Grand Prime or almost any Android device running on Android 4.4 KitKat to give you Android 5.0 Lollipop feel and look. So without any further delay, lets have a look at this recipe.
How to Get Android Lollipop Look on Galaxy Core and Grand Prime
Step 1: Lollipop Lock Screen
Android Lollipop features all new lock screen with materialistic design that Google introduced for the first time in Android which allow users to have floating notification tiles on lock screen that can be easily dismissed with single tap.
In order to get Android Lollipop lockscreen on your Grand Core or Grand Prime, go to Play store and install this app. Once it is installed, open the app and go to “Notification settings” to enable the alerts. After that, go to Settings –> More –> Security –> Notification access and make sure the app “Lollipop Lockscreen Android L” is checked.
So once you are done with Android Lollipop lockscreen on your Galaxy Grand Prime, lets move to the next item of our recipe.
Step 2: Lollipop Messaging App
Android Lollipop features all new messaging app with stunning interface that not only looks superb but also comes with bunch of amazing new features like floating action button, colored headers and swipe gestures.
To get the new messaging app, download this apk on your mobile. Make sure you have allowed installation of apps from outside Play Store by checking “Unknown Sources” option in Settings –> Security. To get this new feature on your Galaxy Grand Prime or Core running on KitKat, simply download and install Heads-up notification app on your mobile from Play Store.
Step 4: Android Lollipop Recent Apps Menu
Another new feature of Lollipop is all new app switcher that comes with materialistic design and faster switching, To get this recent apps switcher on your KitKat device, install “Fancy Switcher” app from Play Store and you will get exactly Android 5.0 Lollipop switcher.
Step 5: Lollipop Redesigned Calender
Even Google updated the Calender in Lollipop and replaced it with gorgeous simple yet great looking Calender that is truly eye-catching. To get this, download this apk on your device and install it using ASTRO manager (like we did in Step 2)
Step 6: Lollipop Keyboard
If you don’t know, Google introduced minimalistic keyboard in new Android OS but worry not, we will also install the same keyboard on your older KitKat devices, thanks to developers for extracting the apk. Download and install keyboard apk and install it like we installed 3rd party app in Step 2.
Once Lollipop keyboard is installed, you will have to enable it from Settings –> Controls –> Language and input. There tap on the gear icon next to “Lollipop Keyboard”. From Appearance & layouts, select “Material Light” themes and enjoy!
