How to Downgrade Asus Zenfone 5 from Android 5.0 Lollipop Beta to Android 4.4 KitKat
Step 1: Download the Zenfone 4.4 Stock System img.
Step 2: Download recovery.img & Fastboot.img.
Step 3: Extract both to desktop.
Step 4: Connect your Zenfone 5 to your computer.
Step 5: Go to WW folder and open CMD there.
Step 6: There in CMD type “ADB devices” and hit Enter.
Step 7: You will need to reboot your phone to bootloader now. For that, type “adb reboot bootloader” and hit Enter.
Step 8: Once your Zenfone 5 is in bootloader mode, type the followings commands:
- fastboot flash boot boot.img [Wait until it is finished]
- fastboot flash recovery recovery.img [Wait until it is finished]
- fastboot flash fastboot fastboot.img
Step 9: Once done with that, go to System Image folder and open CMD there. Type “fastboot flash system system.img” there and hit Enter. [Wait until it is finished].
Once done with all above, go to droidboot and do a factory reset followed by rebooting your Zenfone 5. After that, you will see that your Zenfone is successfully downgraded from Android 5.0 Lollipop to Android 4.4 KitKat.
