Steps to Install CWM Recovery on Redmi 2
Step 1: Download CWM Recovery Image for your Redmi 2 and Place it on desktop.
Step 2: Rename the recovery image to recovery.img.
Step 3: Once done with renaming, copy the .img to fastboot folder.
Step 4: Turn off your Redmi 2 and boot it to Bootloader Mode by pressing and holding “Volume Down + Power” buttons for few seconds.
Step 5: When Redmi 2 is in fastboot mode, connect it to your computer.
Step 6: Open CMD in the fastboot folder. [Press and hold “Shift” key and then right click in the fastboot folder –> select Open command window here option]
Step 7: There in CMD, type the commands below: [Press Enter after each command]
- fastboot devices
- fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
- fastboot reboot
