Update Xperia T2 Ultra to Lollipop 19.3.A.0.470 Stock .ftf Firmware

Xperia T2 Ultra users who have eagerly been waiting to taste Lollipop on their devices are very happy and they should because Song heard to them. The company has rolled out Lollipop 19.3.A.0.470 Stock Firmware for Xperia T2 Ultra.

Update Xperia T2 Ultra to Lollipop 19.3.A.0.470 Stock .ftf Firmware

Before this, Sony rolled out Lollipop firmware to Xperia C3, Xperia Z2 and Xperia Z3 Compact. As usual, the update is available via OTA and will roll out in stages mean it can take some time. But if you are keen to try before OTA, there’s still a solution and that solution we will talk about in this post.

Pre-Requirements

  • First of all ensure that you have Xperia T2 Ultra Drivers installed on your computer.
  • Your Xperia T2 Ultra should be unlocked.
  • Make sure the battery is at least 75% charged.
  • You need to have Flashtool installed on your computer. If not, follow –> Install Sony Flashtool in Windows

Guide to Update Xperia T2 Ultra to Lollipop 19.3.A.0.470 Stock Firmware

Step 1: When you are finished with firmware downloading, place the 19.3.A.0.470 .ftf file in the Firmware sub-folder in Flashtool folder.

Step 2: Open the Flashtool.exe and click on the lightening icon at top left.

Step 3: Select Flashmode and then choose the .ftf file you have just placed there.

Step 4: Look at right side window and select wipe data, apps log, cache etc (I recommend wipe all).

Step 5: Click on ok so the Flashtool start preparing the 19.3.A.0.470 .ftf firmware for flashing which will take few seconds.

Step 6: Once it is done, you will be asked to connect your Xperia T2 Ultra to your computer. Also you will be shown the instructions on how to connect your phone like turning it off and then pressing Volume Down button followed by connecting it to computer using USB cable.

Step 7: Once your phone is detected, flashtool will start flashing Android 5.0.2 19.3.A.0.470 .ftf Stock firmware on your Xperia T2 Ultra.

When flashing is completed, your phone will reboot. Verify the latest firmware from Settings –> About phone.
