Step 1: Download the the pre-rooted 23.1.A.0.726 Android 5.0.2 Lollipop firmware for your Xperia Z3 and place the zip on desktop.

Step 5: Go back to main recovery menu and select “Wipe, Advanced Wipe” and then “Cache”, “Dalvik/ART cache” and “Data” to completely erase the previous ROM from your Xperia Z3.

Step 6: Again go back to main Recovery menu and select “Install” option to browse for the transferred zip file. Choose Swipe to Confirm Flash to start the process.

Step 7: Once the installation is completed, go back to main recovery menu and reboot your Xperia Z3.

          Hello Vincent,

Very sorry for not being clear about recovery mode. Can you please try this to enter your phone to recovery mode?

“Step 1: Turn off your Xperia Z3: press power key and select “power off” or press and hold power key for a few moments.

Step 2: Power on your device and when the LED notification lights turn on press several times Volume Up or Volume down buttons.

At the end, your Xperia Z3 will be rebooted into recovery mode.”

Hi, thanks for your reply, I know how to enter recovery mode, BUT, apperantly my Z3 hasn’t a pre-installed recovery file,… (found it out after having the issue that my phone does not give a LED light by startup)

so to be able to enter recovery mode , I need to install a custom recovery like CWM or TWRP,… therefore I need to unlock bootloader, and root my phone,..
