- First of all ensure that you have OnePlus One USB Drivers installed on your computer.
- Make a complete backup of all your important data using CWM recovery or TWRP and keep it safe.
- Enable the USB Debugging Mode on your phone from Settings –> Developer Options –> “Enable USB Debugging”.

How to Root OnePlus One on CM12S Android 5.0.2 Lollipop Stock Firmware
Step 1: Download the root tool for OnePlus One on CM12S firmware along with TWRP recovery zip file.
Step 2: Connect your phone to your computer and transfer the downloaded CM12S root zip file to your OnePlus One storage. Also use TWRP and install it.
Step 3: Turn Off your OnePlus One and boot it to recovery mode. For that
Step 4: In recovery mode, select the “Install” option. Browse for the downloaded CM12S root file and select it. Once the process is completed, reboot your phone from main recovery menu.
Step 5: Now enable USB debugging on your OnePlus One. For that go to Settings –> About Phone and click on build number 7 times to enable the developer options.
Step 6: Go to Settings –> Developer Options and check the “Root Access” checkbox.
Step 7: Open SuperSU app and go its setting. Uncheck the option “Respect CM root setting” there to truly unlock your OnePlus One.
